  1. Just wondering - did any PLRGs see the CNN report on job loss stats and how men are faring? Of the nearly 4 million people who have lost their jobs since the recession, 78% of them are men. And they're not faring as well as women apparently... some are saying women are the new faces of this country's job recovery.

    Some interesting points to take away:
    Men, who are often likely to connect their careers with their level of self worth, have difficulty allowing women to be the bread-winners.

    Based on this lowered self-esteem, they're experiencing depression and...having tougher times performing in bed. Bring out those Vibes ladies...

    But, I resent the concept of women being so financially dependent on their men. Look at this website? We can recession-proof - despite our low paying jobs and single income earnings. We can and will "make it another week in the big apple".

    I like the idea of knowing the shoes that I buy, the food that I eat, the apartment I'm in, I'm paying for and own myself. And I'd be damned if I wasn't with a guy, employed or not, proud of my accomplishments. And shoes.
